A recent two week trip spanned 10 states, 7 American dialects, 5 North American Forest Biomes, 4 distinct territorial extensions of our country (purchased, fought for, stole, swindled or negotiated), 3 mountain ranges, and not least of all 10 dogs whose noses we encountered on our trek.
The journey culminated in a Thanksgiving dinner with my family, a campfire complete with a 4-dog light show under a full moon (with the help of glow sticks and fence wire), as well as some wood-splitting, wood-working, and slingshotting as an added bonus. All in all it was a good adventure: much fodder for the lens, friends and conversations for the mind, and motion to keep the tire tread and boot soles warm and worn.
