The dear friends and good participants of my wedding to Claire made the event a bonafide barn-burner. Many of our talented friends recorded and shared video footage of the occasion and have shared it with the aim to make a community film of the all the action, different perspectives and experiences of our wedding. It will be exciting and rewarding for me to see the different encounters and approaches all of our friends took in recording this material to help us memorialize this special time for Claire and me. The material is looking real fine and this video is a quick preview. – New friends, a new family, and new stories started herein.
The proliferation of some pretty remarkable tools puts in the hands of all of us the ability to tell stories (e.g. iPhones) and they are small enough to allow us the ability to still make and participate in those same stories; we have a printing press, a darkroom, and video production house in our trouser pockets. These inconspicuous devices can still often be distracting insulation from the present visceral experiences of the world happening right in front of us, but at least it seems evident that today’s widgets are small enough so no to impede on the amazing dance moves on this night and generous efforts of our guests.
Good people worth knowing make good times worth remembering. More of this project is on the editing board for a short film sometime soon. Thanks for all that helped make the story and those who helped document it.
