These are some moments found and taken, during the life and times living with my daughter. Daily I see comparisons in scale, design, and intent that separates and connects me with my daughter. These moments provide me with a study in measurement, mimicry, and the differences – some real, some assumed – between childhood and adulthood.
I started taking photographs of some of these situations. She’ll grow up fast, and these differences will become less as she grows. Among the countless things she teaches me, one is to take a closer look at the objects and rituals that I have grown to see as mundane through repetition and rote habit.
Her little feet and little fingers help me see the big picture.
