A photograph of mine was used in the CD packaging for a great band: illustrated by Justin Marable – Ha Ha Tonka’s latest album Death of a Decade is the band’s 3rd release with Bloodshot Records.
I’ve photographed these guys before, and this time, I was commissioned by the label and worked with the band’s manager, Frank Hill to capture some portraits of the band while their tour stopped through Denver this past fall. [More notes here.]
The band and their management are great work with and the band is always friendly and polite no matter how many miles they may have just traveled before they spill out of their tour van for me to stick a camera in their face. Sharp fellows, they are, and damn, can they make your feet stomp. Get this new album April 5th. Or better yet, find them on tour and buy it right from them at a show. I’ll bet you’ll even get a free and firm handshake with it.
