Several years ago I bought an old bike from a surf shop in Ventura Calif. where I lived and worked at the time. The bike served me well, and for some reason I decided to haul it across the country when I left the West coast. When my next adventure called me away again, I left the bike in Athens Ohio with my my good friend and teacher Sam Girton. I figured it could serve him or someone well on the campus of O.U.
Now several years later, I am back in Ohio and he still had the trusty old bike. He kindly returned it to me, just a spring began to bloom. And with a little work, it all came apart and back together again, with a new color and look. Claire led restoration, and now has a fresh looking new bike to tour the neighborhood this summer.
