Powered by a 19′ x 7′ 2015.5 Ford Transit van, Oso Negro Coffee we discovered along the way, and good friends, we rolled through the Southwestern fringe of world’s second largest country.
Destination: Vancouver, Canada. That, and many points fore and aft from our origin and terminus in Spokane WA. Our route’s apex took us, by ferry, to a Kiwi plantation, just outside of Ladysmith, on Vancouver island. With babies measured in months in our second row of the van, we drove past trees measured in centuries out our windows. We were put up kindly by old friends along the way who showed us new things. We did the Grouse Mountain Grind, dipped our bones in the Ainsworth Hot Springs, and had an impromptu pie party in Seattle.
A good vacation has been put on the books, steeped in deep summer Canadiana.
