I collaborated with a great L.A. photographer and a past student of mine – Pamela Lopez Grant on a design project to rebrand her photography business. We worked this fall to distill her personal and professional character and create a new identity for her emerging photography career. Pamela has had a lot of hard-earned experience since she left Brooks Institute of Photography where we met, and was in need of a shedding her old skin and finding a new voice to portray her work, and therefore, herself.
Pamela’s works in portraiture, entertainment, fashion, and editorial. Her work represents a contemporary approach to image making and her style ranges from striking commercially-produced fashion photography, to more nuanced, natural, and unprovoked portraiture and beauty work.
We worked together to create a new identity and that was executed through a new logo and logotype design which included a typographic overhaul. The new letterforms clothe and contribute to all new copywriting and communication that defines the new, smart, and thoughtful brand.
